Chomolhari Trek

Trip Description
Chomolhari Trek is one of the most popular high altitude treks of Bhutan. The trek begins and ends in Paro where we also visit the famous Taktsang(Tiger’s Nest) Monastery. While trekking in the beautiful Bhutanese countryside, we get to enjoy the amazing Bhutanese landscape and get acquainted with its rich culture. During our trek, we also cross a few passes and are rewarded with amazing views of the Himalayas including Jichu Drake (6,989m) and Chomolhari (7,513m). Mt. Chomolhari, having one of the most beautiful peaks in the Eastern Himalaya, stands at a magnificent (7314m) with age old frontier forts and sprawling yak pastures in its foreground; a truly rewarding sight for the determined trekker. One the course of the trek, one will have sojourned through several places rich in history in Paro, Thimphu and Punakha .

Day to Day Itinerary

Days 01 : Arrival Paro, transfer hotel.
Days 02 : Trek to Shana, camp.
Days 03 : Trek to Soi Thangthangkha, camp.
Days 04 : Trek to Jangothang, camp.
Days 05 : Jonagothang - Excursions, camp.
Days 06 : Trek to Lingshi, camp.
Days 07 : Lingshi - Excursions, camp.
Days 08 : Trek to Shodu, camp .
Days 09 : Trek to Barshong, camp.
Days 10 : Trek to Dolam Kencho, camp.
Days 11 : Drive to Thimpu, hotel.
Days 12 : Transfer to airport for final departure.
