Rivers in Nepal are graded on a scale of 1-6
The Trisuli River (grade 3+) is one of the most popular of Nepal’s rafting rivers. Due to its proximity to Kathmandu and easy road access, trips on this river are easy organized. For the first time rafters Trisuli offers plenty of excitement.
The Kaligandaki River (grade4+) winds through remote canyons and deep gorges for three days of intense rapids and there are extreme wilderness and mountain views too.
The Bhote Koshi (grade 5+) is a two day run of pure adrenaline located only three hours from Kathmandu. 26 km of continous white water soaks rafters as they shoot through a veritable maze of canyons and boulders.
The Marshyangdi River (grade5+) flowing through the gorges of the Annapurna’s, it runs sandwiched between 52 km of boiling foam and towering peaks.
The Karnali River (grade 5+) in the far west is the longest and largest river of Nepal. Spectacular landscapes, narrow gorges, the most challenging rapids and wildlife are the main attractions.
The Sunkoshi River (grade 5+) is Nepal’s second offering for expedition rafting. It offers an incredible strtch of exhilarating white water. The run is 270 km and requires 8-10 days to complete with road accedd only at the beginning and end.
